HeidelbergCement in Georgia – A SHORT HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT / EXPANSION
HeidelbergCement has been carrying out its activities in Georgia since 2006 and up to date has made more than 200 mln EUR investments that were mainly oriented on existing cement plants modernization and expansion in the concrete business line. To date HeidelbergCement operates 3 cement plants in Kaspi, with total capacity of 2 mln tons per year and expanded in a cement production unit in west of Georgia (Poti) will invest in a new integrated cement plant in Kaspi. HeidelbergCement rapidly expanded in the concrete business and it runs 9 concrete plants. Heidelbergcement employs more than 1,200 people in Georgia.
